Toroni

Meet one of the most beautiful places in Greece.



Toroni is a small town in the southwest of Sithonia peninsula in Chalkidiki and a region of the homonymous municipality, having 233 inhabitants (2001).  The main occupation of the inhabitants is tourism, as well as agriculture and fisheries.

Toronaios Bay was named after Toroni and played an important role in the history of Greece. According to Greek mythology, Toroni was the wife of Proteus, son of Poseidon. Her children were killed when they provoked Hercules to fight.

Today the village is a small one with an endless sandy beach where the swimmers can have a lot of space to lie and sunbathe, while the sea area is considered one of the cleanest in the Mediterranean !! The main feature of Toroni  is that it’s  ideal for every type of vacation.
